Water Filtration

Discoloration or Chemicals in your Water?

Filtration represents the first essential step in a total water management system and is comprised of two components, sediment filtration and chemical filtration.

Particulate matter or suspended solids visible to the naked eye are removed by sediment filtration systems.  These systems are selected based on particle size and quantity of the contaminant and can range from simple cartridge-style filters to automatic, self-cleaning backwashing systems using specialty filtration media.

For chemicals, including new classes of emerging contaminants like GenX, activated carbon-based filters are available in a variety of configurations including cartridge-style filters, static-tank filters, and automatic self-cleaning backwashing systems using activated carbon chosen for each specific contaminant.

Whether you are filtering sediment that you can see or chemicals that are invisible, a Kinetico filtration system is a critical first step in resolving your water quality issues and putting yourself on the path to effective, efficient, and reliable water treatment.  Schedule a free consultation today to learn more.

Water Filtration Options

Kinetico offers three types of filtration to return your water to its pristine, crystal-clear state:

  • Sediment Filtration Systems Ideal for protecting homes and businesses from particulate matter in their water supply. Kinetico sediment filtration removes visible sediment such as iron oxide (rust), silt, clay, black mica and sand.
  • Chemical Filtration Systems This type of filtration removes disinfection chemicals and their byproducts including chlorine, chloramine, trihalomethanes, haloacetic acids, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to protect your health and plumbing.
  • Specialty Filtration Systems For water with emerging contaminants including GenX, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), a specialty filtration system can remove these harmful “forever chemicals” safely and reliably.

What are the major benefits to Kinetico water treatment systems?  Non-electric operation cuts costs and protects the environment, dual-tank design for clean-water backwashing, and automated metering so your system cleans based on use rather than time. Contact us to learn more.
