Cation Exchange Commercial Water Softeners
Cation water softeners remove harmful minerals and metals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, lead, radium and more. By attracting minerals and metals to negatively charged resin beads, these harmful contaminants are removed from the working water utilized by your facility. During regeneration, the unit cleans itself with soft water, refreshing the resin and removing the previously extracted contaminants so it can continue the ion exchange process. Kinetico developed soft-water regeneration because it is more efficient than traditional softeners, saving significant amounts of water, sewer and salt.
Anion Exchange Commercial Systems
These systems use positively charged resin beads to remove dissolved contaminants, including uranium, nitrates and sulfates. Although these pollutants are less common than dissolved minerals and metals, the ion exchange process remains unchanged, including the high-efficiency soft water, counter-current regeneration.

How do commercial ion exchange systems work?
Through the process of ion exchange, negatively or positively charged resin beads remove dissolved metals, minerals and other contaminants from your water. A regeneration process then flushes these contaminants from the beads to the drain, allowing the process to repeat.
